HYPE Festival : Fashion And Food Bazaar

Greetings, people!

So, since last month, I was visiting the Hype Festival, at Pantai Indah Kapuk. You know what? There was a big bazaar happening at the moment. The HYPE festival initially started from June 2015, and to be planned to continue every month until December 2015. It opens from 11.00 AM in the morning to 09.00 PM!

HYPE is a site where people whom attempt to sell their own original & fresh concept product, such as in food, drinks, fashion, accessories, which they invent by their own idea & resources. And this public event caught widespread attention in region of Jakarta.

If you wanted to be an entrepreneur, this place might be a leaping stone for you. Yet, I am telling you, you either rise or you fall in this one timer business! But at the very least, you can avoid filing yourself to bankruptcy! Because it does not cost that much to rent a space in HYPE market. So if eventually people do not love product, you can always spot what works and what does not, and redo your idea. Basically, let your idea evolves. Once you understood what consumers really want, you can put your creativity unleashed and start creating products emitting novelty. So that people will come back to your stall, and keep purchasing your product.

Now, onto the adventure of my food-hunting! I am the last food-hunter! B)

So first and foremost, what caught my eyes on the first glance?

The Bank of Blood!

How they serve:

This is quite idiosyncratic, eh? They serve an appetizing, thick milks in an infusion plastic packaging, and rounded off with hospital theme, here are the lists of flavor variations:​

1. The Human Blood (Red Velvet milk flavour in red colour) 2. The Smurf Blood (Bubble Gum milk flavour in blue colour) 3. The Hulk Blood (Green-tea milk flavour in green) 4. The Minion Blood (Banana milk flavour in yellow) 5. The Alien Blood (Taro milk flavour in purple)

Unfortunately, they are running out when I stumbled into their stall, and what were left are the Minion Blood and the Hulk Blood. And why not? Check it out!

The Hulk Blood - IDR 33.

I love how they don't taste overly sweet, just find enough for me. Albeit it is based on milk, it doesn't make me full, which is a very good thing as i still want to satisfy my hunger by trying other stalls!

From 17th to 20th September, they will be at Jakarta Culinary Passport located at Grand Indonesia 5th Floor.

Tadaaaaah~ It's Tapai! - IDR 35.

This is one of a kind munch, made on sugar-glazed crackers, and has a Tapai fillings inside, you can choose either topped with original flavor, cheese flavor, and chocolate flavor. My most favourite is definitely the chocolate one! The sweet taste and crunchy crackers and don't forget spongy chocolate tapai, certainly I've never tasted such taste before, so yummy~

Moving on,

It was somewhat warm climate or scorchingly hot there (No in between), and I was sweating profusely!

And what was that, I saw something dazzling across the stall I am standing in front of, that pearl surrounded by swines covered in mud?!

Honolulu Hawaiian Shave Ice - IDR 35.

Shaved-ice shaped like a big ball, poured with all kind of syrup from mango, peach, melon, and many more that makes the shaved ice both rainbow-coloured and flavorful. Freshening you up from the head to the toe!

Next, what's next?!

Pompom - IDR 35.

An unique, cobalt-colored bottle with a cold milo milk, red velvet, yakult, and many other flavour, ready to freshen up your day! Check out their Instagram @ke.pompom.ah for more information on how to get this baby.

There is even next? Can't believe how many goodies I tasted in one day!

Kenyot Yuk - IDR 35.

Let us indulge in our enjoyable recollection of past events, shall we? With this bottle, I could not care less if people look at me or laugh at me.. I love what is inside this feeding bottle. Oreo milk, nutella milk, corn milk, you choose your own flavor.

Giant Squid - IDR 38.

I could not recall what they had on the menu, but

I was pretty sure ordering the Giant Squid with seaweed powder was the right choice! Dang! My lips are burning as i choose the spiciness level to be hottie!

Woah, hold a sec! Even if this tasted amazingly delicious, this is simply hard to chew. The batter is easily off from the squid, and you got to have a really iron-strong jaw to bite the squid meat off. But that's just too natural because as we know squids are all chewy, spongy, springy, elastic, or you describe it. I suggest you should find a seat and slowly and properly chew this baby. And on the last few weeks, I visited HYPE again and we give a try of this Poop Bread, Yes Poop! Have a look,

Pooki Bbang - IDR 35. The First Korean Poop Bread in Indonesia

Funny bread with nutella fillings inside, so delicious, and one just not enough! There is also a cream cheese fillings, vanilla and many more, don't believe me? check out their Instagram @pooki.bbang Pooki Bbang is at Grand Indonesia 5th floor, on 22nd to 25th of October, be sure to visit them!

Mini Holdak - IDR 25.

Another Korean snacks is here, a fried chicken and toppoki poured with spicy chilli sauce, Oh GOD! I just love spicy food, and this is one of them!

MiCu - IDR 35.

A one nutella milk in a baby feeding bottle, just like Nyot, this babies brought me back to my childhood, but with more delicious flavour,

Santorini - IDR 35.

This is Strawberry Lemon, with blended ice, and a skelleton and bat gummy candy, with orange jello inside, taste so fresh and cold, so drink it slowly if you don't want to get a brain freeze! Visit their Instagram @santorinifromo

Nyuci.Nyuci - IDR 25.

In conclusion of HYPE market,

Well, I did not have sufficient time to try every single stall there, but! If I went there again, I would make sure to update you guys what's really on there.
