Merry Christmas, Guys?
Oh is it that time of the year, when the snow starts to fall covering the whole city, when a familiar tune starts playing, getting ready to greet an heavy bearded old-man, passing the gifts through chimney?
Just kidding, there is no snow in my hometown.
But yes, i will be seeing snow (Perhaps a lot of snow!) starting January, because i will be moving to Sapporo starting January.
The thing is, lately updates on chivalrous-cat were pretty slow from me as i was preparing my suitcase to support my living for one whole year. But zillion thanks for my mate Anderson, to keep the food&drinks still going strong!
So what is the sole reason of me moving to Sapporo? Well it is not all of a sudden but i have been planning to enhance my language skill during my golden years, as i am aiming to be a polyglot.
A polyglot is an individual who knows or speaks several languages fluently.
When a man was born, he was blessed with homework, or a mission on what he was meant to do in life. Few people realize on their young ages. Take it as Einstein for inventing theory of relativity for example, or Thomas Alfa, or anywho that you know who was made it through making a great change to humanity. Honestly, I am not a material of any bigshot, nevertheless i simply know what i want to do in life. Give it 101% or not at all; believe yourself to pursue whatever you want to do as further as possible. As what Jack Ma said, for once in your life, work hard on something. No worries, nothing bad will happen in the progress.
When i was a younger, i always screwed up at something, and ended up being scolded by well-intentioned adults. Amongst their wrathful words, they always interpolated some proverbs that always sounds cliche & simple to realy mean anything. Little proverbs such as " This too shall pass", "Don't get in relationship before you are financially independent", or even " Study hard so you won't live your life miserably", they just went in left ear, and went out of the other right ear. Now that i am a grown-man ( At least in term of age), everything starts to ring the bell! All the simple wisdoms my old men passed down to me, have revealed their value and deeper truth.
Not only the proverbs start revealing their value, but the more i meditate on it, the more timeless truths are communicated to me. Though they are ancient, easy to dismiss, and unexciting on the surface, they actually express a great and incredibly relevant truths.
The trick is, to keep the truth UP FRONT in your daily consciousness. Maybe guys, you can start replacing your laptop's background to all these images?
Here are the old-and-forgotten according to Art of Manliness:

Well then, have a wonderful Christmas, everyone.
Vincent.
