Ragusa® Es Italia : Keeping it Old School

Greetings to everyone!

Now, take a look on this amusing historical place, Ragusa. Ragusa has opened since 1932 and has been going strong up until today, even before Indonesian independence year!

Imagine how old this place can be, bet you and your high-school history teachers would love to visit this place! Most foreigners who visit Indonesia are often introduced to this place for their next visit. On such heat outside, who would ever refuse going to an ice-cream bar?

It was already down to midnight (around 22:00 PM) when I came, and fortunately I was allowed to take the last order. Several frames of photos of the city of Jakarta hanged on the wall. It made me wondering how was Jakarta back then?

Walk a little further, you will find a cashier there and you can start ordering the ice cream. You can see the miniature of the bowl of ice cream that you will have soon. Now I'm gonna show you what's on the menu :

And here is what I ordered!

Spaghetti Ice Cream - IDR 35

They served it in a box because we could no longer dine in and have to take away our order. (If only I came here earlier that wouldn't happened)

So, it was basically an ice cream, formed like a spaghetti, poured with chocolate syrup, crunchy peanuts, and colorful candies! *vomittingrainbow*

The flavours is intertwined all there, the ice cream is really really squashy and snowy-smooth. And the best part is they're not overly-sweet! So I could finish them off without getting thirsty at all, and moreover, the candies are both chewy and sour! The chocolate is a somewhat bitter, and the peanut crunches contribute to the taste of perfection!

Overall, it was worth it!
